Managed Care Specialist / Accounts Receivable / Customer Service
I'm currently employed full time with Dexcom, Inc a DME company that specializes with CGM. I've been with the company since May 2019 as a Managed Care Specialist assigned on getting authorization from the insurance for patient's diabetic management. Also has been cross-trained with VOB and Accounts Receivable (doing cash posting, refunds, credit memo, debit memo and other finance task). Has a background with Cash collections or Denial Management with previous employer. I've also been employed with Optum worked as an Accounts Receivable Specialist specifically managing denied health care provider claims by identifying denial reason and by appealing if possible. Sending corrected claim, and organizing provider records if there's an over payment made by the insurance or to write off if needed. Also posting payment if everything is concise and correct. I've also worked as a customer service representative for a healthcare account (Aetna) for claims and benefits. Advising provider of patient's benefits and explaining processed claims. Also worked as a clinical intake specialist for voice (calls) and non-voice (fax) (data entry for processing authorization) for a healthcare account (Humana).
