Looking back in my college days, while being a student assistant in the University that entitles me for free tuition fee in exchange of 4 hours duty in the Information Technology Department of our University which gained me knowledge on basic computer hardware troubleshooting, and other computer related skills. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Technology. I am currently holding a position of Accounting Clerk III/payroll staff in our University. As a payroll staff, I am responsible in computing the salary of up to 200 faculty members. Making sure that they receive their salaries on time and that they are just compensated. Aside from payrolling, as part of my job description, I am also doing general accounting such as preparing summary of expenses, liquidation of petty cash voucher and preparing reports of remittances. Before I was assigned in the payroll section, I was only an On-Job-Trainee here in the department I am currently working for, as required by the curriculum of my bachelor's degree. The Assistant Chief Accountant at that time recommended me for a full-time position after I graduated, right after there was a vacancy in the Accounting Department. This is my 3rd job. I am working for the University for 5 years now, from October 2015-present. My first job was was days before my graduation. I was hired as a accounting staff. As an accounting staff, I was responsible in processing the cash advances, liquidation, cash flow and bank reconciliation, coordinate with bank managers for issued checks. After 6 months of experience, I decided to leave my first job to find better opportunity and higher salary. I was hired as an accounting staff again by my second job and later on was absorbed as an importation assistant of which I was responsible on coordinating with the warehouse personnel and the inventory team regarding shipment matters. I was also coordinating with our foreign clients for the documents required for the application of import license and other importation matters.
