The reservation can be on a pending status when the guest sends a request to book but the the host has not accepted the request yet. It can also be on a checkpoint status when their identity is under verification. The verification may fail if the guest's selfie doesn't match the government ID or if the selfie is not accepted by the system. I walk the guest through how to take a selfie photo if they are using their phones or laptops/desktops. On some occasions, I offer to share their screens especially if they are not that tech-savvy. Guest also calls when the listing they booked isn't ready for check-in or if it's still unclean. In this situation, I contact the host to mediate and come up with a resolution. If the host is unable to rectify the issue immediately and might be able to do it the next day, most of the guests would prefer to leave and look for other places to stay. It is my job to assist the guest in finding a new accommodation which is similar to what they originally booked. Over the years, I've honed my skills in addressing guest concerns and resolving issues swiftly and effectively.
