Previously a customer service representative with eBay for almost 2 years. Dealt with different types of customers and different levels of customer needs through chat, email, and phone. The hardest part of being a customer service representative is reading the survey returns. There are times when you obviously gave your all and still you get DSAT (demotivating), but you learn something from these 1stars, and that is to not let them get you. Use them as a means to improve on yourself and become more tolerant and empathic.
