Hi! I am Nerissa, PH Registered Nurse. I have 4 years (2014-2018) of hands-on experience working in one of the US healthcare insurance companies as a Customer Service Representative, answering calls from provider's office regarding Claims status and providing patient's Eligibility/benefit Verification. I also do Outbound calling for any situation that i need to do a call back to our providers. Then I worked as A Medical Billing Specialist for 5 years and 5 months (2018-2024) in different specialties. Tasks i have handled are more on following up an unpaid claims/ Account receivables, Aging claims, Insurance and Patient's payment posting, Reviewing EOB/ERA denials, Filing an appeals, correcting claims and Charge entry. I also answers phone calls from patients asking about billing questions such as Credit card charging, Claims status, deductible, copays and coinsurance, Email Handling. With my Experiences on both Insurance and provider side makes me Extremely Confident in applying for the position.
